Derek and I worked hard this past weekend to get our kitchen tiled! Now I want to go and paint and update our counters, get a new faucet, get a new refrigerator... ha! I'll try to just be happy with our beautiful new floors for now!

I'm so glad to see the black and white floor gone! It was cute, but really hard to keep it looking clean! I love the way the tile makes our kitchen feel bigger!
I can't wait to get to the many other projects we have in store for our house but I am enjoying having one crossed off our list!

So, random useless tidbit of information, we used to have that SAME black and while floor in the kitchen of our old house. I freaking HATED it, could never keep it clean, I swore it was the devil. SO glad you got ride of it, now your new tile is the same as our current kitchen tile, great taste girl ;)

Have to give you credit for doing your own tile. That's one project I don't think I would attempt. Bet it was hard work. Looks great! It does make the space look bigger.
Haha! Those grooves in the tile made it SO hard to get clean! I would have to get down and scrub the floor on my hands and knees... and well that's just not an option! I'm loving the new tile! Thanks!

Haha! Thanks! It was a little challenging because our house was built in 1934, so the floor was not level. Once I realized there was not enough thin set in the world to get it perfect it wasn't so bad! Plus the hubs did all the cutting, so really I had the easy job! :)
I love the nook!! So neat! We tiled a bathroom in a house we used to live and it was a chore! Looks great!! :)
